LENS POUCHES IN THREE SIZES
The COSYSPEED LENS POUCHES are available in three sizes to protect small and large camera lenses from dust and scratches. On the inside they are made of high-quality microfiber fabric and outside with classic black or African colored cotton. TOP-QUALITY MEETS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
To set up a production in the middle of Africa, in such a desperately poor country like Burundi, that is a bit crazy. Fortunately, there are organizations like Burundikids e.V. from Cologne (www.burundikids.org) that are very committed to the country the people of Burundi. Together with Burundikids, we were able to open a production facility for ten tailors in January 2021, in which the CAMPILLOW, the LENS POUCHES and the new GYMBAGs are currently being produced. Since 2014 we had repeatedly initiated smaller projects with Burundikids and now the time has come to take the next step. The tailor shop is connected to the Nyubahiriza mother-child home center, where young women can stay with their babies and children. Most of them lost their homes and ended up on the street. Some are minors. In the mother-child home they get accommodation, food, medical care, go to school or do an apprenticeship. Under the guidance of the experienced tailor master Apollinaire Ndorere, they can make an apprenticeship as a tailor and thus secure better future opportunities.
COSYSPEED Managing Director Thomas Ludwig himself worked in development services in African countries for a number of years and brings his profound experience to the table. From the beginning it was very important not to run a “money transfer project”, but to build self-supporting structures. For us at COSYSPEED it is of central importance that our partner in Burundi and we at COSYSPEED make a profit is made, which makes a certain economic sense. This not only ensures lself-supporting structures, but also a healthy sense of self-worth and self-confidence on both sides.
